Fathers play some role in nurturing their young. This book explores that by grabbing facts from all across humanity and the animal kingdom. It appears to be reaching for any example it can find, rather than having a coherent narrative. There is still debate over the physical vs. social reasons for men and woman's role in caring for children. There doesn't seem to be any strong conclusion here.
