The Monkey and Cake books are a weak imitation of Elephant and Piggie books. They have two friends interacting to learn a small principle of friendship. In this one, Cake builds a fort that excludes monkeys. Then Monkey proclaims all other area as a fort that excludes Cakes. Cake is upset, and then Monkey declares that he will let cake in. It is ok, but feels forced.
