How We Learn: Why Brains Learn Better Than Any Machine . . . for Now

How We Learn: Why Brains Learn Better Than Any Machine . . . for Now by Stanislas Dehaene

Humans have an ability to learn. There seems to be some special innate ability to learn languages. Babies start learning language in the womb and "unlearn" phonemes that are not in their language. Learning is a key part of how society grows. Active learning is more successful than passive learning. Tech has challenges duplicating the learning process that brains undergo.

The author is very pro-education. Alas, the education institutions do not necessarily follow the best practices. Are these best practices even the best?
