A duck is different from the other ducks. He self-exiles. He tries to find a home with geese, but leaves after hunters come about. He runs into trouble at other places, such as destroying food at a peasant house. Eventually he meets some swans and discovers that he is a swan. Like other golden books, this one has a bit too much text for the pictures.
