Fewer, Bigger, Bolder: From Mindless Expansion to Focused Growth by Sanjay Khosla and Mohanbir Sawhney
Business books have a short shelf life. One of the examples given in this book is Spirit Airlines. Oops! In the 10 years since this was written, they have gone from Wall Street darling to chapter eleven bankruptcy. The primary focus is on Kraft and the experience the authors had there, especially in Asian markets. They encourage companies to give remote markets autonomy so that they can act quickly and respond to the local market. Sometimes a blank check is needed to allow a group to work. This is all pretty basic.
