Not a Crook is the one that I remember best. She loses a mitten and then is sent to the lost and found. She decides she really likes a backpack there, but is told she can't take other people's things. She finds another girl had picked up the gove and kept it.  She later finds a fancy pen that she likes it. It takes her a while to relate this to her glove situation and not be a crook.

Party Animal - Junie and friend have sleepover at rich friends home. They cause ruckus and break things to the chagrin of rich grandma.

Beauty Shop Guy - she tries to practice beauty shop on herself and her stuffed animals.

Smells Something Fishy - I think it had to do with animals at school.

Junie B. Jones is an opinionated young girl who is starting kindergarten. In the books she learns that things are a bit different when you start kindergarten. She interprets things a bit too literally. One day she really needs to go to the bathroom. It is an "emergency", so she pulls the fire alarm. When she gets a new baby brother, she hears grandma call him a cute little monkey and assumes that her brother really is a monkey - and has classmates pay her for the privilege of seeing the monkey brother. She also learns to not jump to conclusions. She sees her teacher eat a grape and assume she is a criminal that will go to jail. She tried to hide the secret, but accidentally blurts it out. Junie B. can be funny, but does get annoying.

Junie B Jones is s boisterous young girl who struggles to learn life lessons. With Meanie Jim, she talks about how bad ponies and stuff are. Then she learns that he is having a birthday party with the entire class invited and she decides she really wants to go. After Jim reluctantly invites her, she realizes she only wants to go there because everyone else is going. She would much rather help fix a toilet. Similarly, with Handsome Warren, the other girls are showing off fancy clothes and she must have the same. Alas, this does not work out. She also struggles with things like monsters in other books. It must be easier when a kid blurts out everything.

Junie B Jones: First Grader

Junie B Jones goes to first grade and finds things different than kindergarten. Her old friends are in different classes and she struggles to make new friends. And just when she thought things could not get any worse, she finds she needs glasses. She is initially so embarrassed, but eventually every thing works out.

This beginning chapter book is light and mildly witty. However, the end comes abruptly.
