My Thank You Book by Wanda Hayes and Frances Hook

This book is better than I thought it would be. There is fairly dense text about each item that the young child is thankful for. Some are prose, while some are verses. The things range from dogs to rain to bible school. The kids enjoyed the book even with the length. They would start reading sections, but then ask to have it read to them instead.

This book is not popular with the kids. There is a page with a drawing facing a page full of text. The text is quite verbose. It doesn't tell a story, but just has references to individual points of the life of Jesus. It feels more like a reference book than a story book.
