Thoughts on the Education of Daughters by Mary Wollstonecraft
This is an early book on education of women. The author is concerned that some women are becoming mothers at young age when they have barely been children. She advocates instruction to help them to be good wives and mothers. They should be able to succeed in the roles without being excessively dependant on others. Training should be had in various needs to allow it work well. Modern critiques may see limitations in this. However, it does provide a positive experience for society. Well trained mothers will help provide better families and are likely to provide a greater societal influence than an independent laborer.
