I tried listening to the 1992 movie soundtrack as I was listening to this audiobook. It is a great soundtrack. The movie itself? Well, it had great music, but I can't remember any of the plot. The same goes for the book. There is Hawkeye and Cora. There are settlers and natives. The French have an important role and have some leaders. There is discussion of loyalties. I had trouble figuring out who was on each side of the conflict.
