The kids need Amelia Bedelia to complete their team. She makes her many literal mistakes. (She ran to her house when they told her to run home.) Her uniform was a classic military uniform. Luckily, despite her many foibles, she was able to hit a grand slam home run at the end of the game to give her team a victory - and then give them all cookies. This is a mid-tier Amelia Bedelia book.
