Miss Mouse is a girl's beloved stuffed animal. The book is told from the point of view of the stuffed animal. She goes on all sorts of adventures with her human. At the end of the day, they play in the mud. The girl gets hauled inside for a bath. Later they come to get Miss Mouse and she gets cleaned in preparation for putting her human to bed. The pictures are a great narrative mechanism in this "stuffy-eyed" view.
