The Story of Electricity quickly runs through the history of electricity. It starts with ancient times and some of the observations that people had about what we now call electricity. There was later some science and improved understanding about various conductors and how electric chargers contribute to biological processes. Modern discovery and innovation includes names that are now applies to electrical concepts (like volts.) This is a nice quick introduction.
