The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing
Marie Kondo has strong opinions on how to tidy up. It must be done in one giant exercise. Doing things slowly is not enough. A lot of stuff will be thrown away. Storing it at mom's house will not help. Sentimental stuff has served its purpose. We do not need to hold on to stuff for memories. Instead we should be creating new memories. It is also easy to buy stuff. Don't hold on to stuff that you might need. She also has strong opinions on how to fold clothes. If it all works for you, great.
